FAQ
Short answers to the questions people ask most often about Kyro. Each one links to a fuller page if you want the details.
Plans & pricing
Is Kyro free?
Yes. Kyro is free to use, and the free plan lets you keep up to 5 tasks — plenty for a focused routine. Every other feature is included. If you want to track more habits at once, Kyro Pro makes your tasks unlimited.
What does Kyro Pro unlock?
Unlimited tasks — it removes the five-task limit of the free plan. That’s the only difference; nothing else is locked away. See Kyro Pro for the full rundown.
Is Kyro Pro a subscription?
No. Kyro Pro is a one-time purchase — you buy it once and it’s yours for good, with nothing to renew.
Is there a free trial?
There’s no timed trial — the free plan itself is the way to try Kyro for as long as you like. It includes every feature, capped only at five tasks. When you want more, Kyro Pro lifts that cap.
Does archiving a task free up a free-plan slot?
No. The five-task limit counts active and archived tasks together, since archiving keeps a task’s history. To free a slot on the free plan, permanently delete an archived task — or unlock Kyro Pro for unlimited tasks.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open the Me tab and tap Restore Purchases. Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account, so as long as you’re signed in with the same one, Pro comes back. More in Troubleshooting.
Your data
Does my routine sync across devices?
Yes. Kyro syncs your tasks and history through iCloud, so they’re the same on every device signed in to your Apple Account and are restored when you set up a new one. See Troubleshooting if a device isn’t catching up.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your tasks and history live on your device and in your own private iCloud — never on our servers. Kyro shows no ads and uses only anonymous, privacy-friendly analytics. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
What happens to my history if I delete a task?
It depends which you choose. Archiving a task removes it from your routine but keeps all its history, and you can restore it later. Permanently deleting an archived task erases it and its history for good. See Tasks for both.
Using Kyro
What’s a counter task?
A counter task tracks a number each day — pages read, push-ups, glasses of water — instead of a simple done-or-not-done. You set a daily goal, and the day counts as complete once you reach it. See Today and Tasks.
Can I see my counter history over time?
Yes — open the task’s statistics and tap Insights. You get a chart of everything you’ve logged by day, week or month, and, once you have a couple of months of history, a plain-English read on whether you’ve been doing more or less lately. It’s free for everyone, not a Kyro Pro feature. See Insights.
Can I change a task from simple to counter later?
No. A task’s type is set when you create it and can’t be changed afterward. If you need the other type, create a new task. More in Tasks.
Why did my task stop appearing on Today?
It’s usually because the task was archived, or its start date is later than the day you’re viewing. The Troubleshooting guide walks through the checks.
